December 23: In December James recorded a radio spot for Borders Books. He doesn't know the market or when it will air.

December 18: James Morrison started work on December 16th for a role in the CBS TV Series, Navy NCIS. He plays the Assistant Director of the CIA, R.P. Rober. Producers are just establishing the character with a slight possibility that he may recur.

November 18:  James Morrison will be doing another radio drama for NPR and LA Theatre Works. It is a new adaptation of Sophocies’ OEDIPUS THE KING by Nicholas Rudall, with James playing the Priest of Zeus/Chorus. It’s a co-production with the Getty Center Museum, recorded with script in hand in front of an audience, in 5 separate performances December 11 – 13 at the Getty Center. In addition to airing on NPR and being sold to libraries, universities, and individuals, the recording will be donated to over 2000 public high schools nationwide. Rudall will direct.

This is James’ third go around with this story. In 1980 he played the King in OEDIPUS UNVOUND by Adam Ross at the first year of the Utah Playwright’s Conference (which became The Sundance Playwrights Lab), He then played Eddy in Steven Berkoff’s GREEK in Los Angeles for LA Theatre Works in 1982.

October 22:  In September of 2002, James Morrison was in Colorado filming WILDERNESS SURVIVAL FOR GIRLS, written and directed by Kim Roberts and Eli Despres. Except for some music, sound mix and color correction, the film is finished. The film is being submitted to festivals, starting with Sundance. It was one of the only five films chosen in the Emerging Narrative category - out of 18 works in progress – to screen in its entirety at the IFP/NEW YORK last month.

September 27:  James Morrison has just completed a small role in the hit TV series, CSI MIAMI. James plays the character Charles Jounet, a grand prix racing team owner. Episode should air in November.

August 23:  James Morrison began work on August 18 for a role in the new ABC TV series, “10-8”. 10-8 premieres on ABC in the US on Sunday, September 28 at 8PM Eastern Time. The title of the episode is HARD DAY’S NIGHT. James’ role is of a L.A. Sheriff named Lowry.

April 17: CLOUD NINE opens at the Hudson Theatre on May 2nd and plays through June 15th. James has played the parts of Clive and Edward in the production of CLOUD NINE in 1983 at the LA Stage Co. West, Los Angeles. He later performed the same characters at Minneapolis’ Cricket Theater.

CLOUD NINE is a play of an English family living in colonial Africa. James plays Clive in Act 1 and the part of Edward in Part II.

March 23: An episode of WEST WING that James appears in is tentatively scheduled for April 2nd. A summary of the episode is as follows.

At the end of an 18 hour return trip home from the Manila, just as Air Force One is about to begin its descent into Andrews Air Force Base, a cockpit indicator light leads the crew to believe that the landing gear might not be locked down and so the plane stays in the air while the problem can be looked at. Tensions in the plane and on the ground grow as people become more and more concerned that the plane may have been tampered with.

March 15: James just received a role in an episode of West Wing. He plays a Colonel Weiskopf, the pilot of Air Force One. Stay tuned.

James is in rehearsal for a stage production of Caryl Churchill’s CLOUD 9. James plays Clive/Edward, and Harry Mastrogeorge directs the play. Opens in Hollywood in late April.

February 23: In April James will present a yoga workshop for Divine Motion. During June James will be assisting Tracy Rich and Ganga White with the Yoga Teacher Training program at the White Lotus Foundation.
